Did anyone say co-bloggers? Introducing Regi as one of the new Aus. Library Librarians

Monday, 12 September 2016

Well hello there, beautiful bookworms.

Did anyone say co-bloggers? You can call me Regi, Reg or really any other term of endearment you can come up with, and I am here to blog about books. And by blog I mean to ramble, babble, and talk endlessly. You might know me for doing that in The Bibliothèque, which I created over a year ago so I could expand my weirdness to the internet lands.

But let’s start with some basic info about me, I was born in Spain but I live and blog from Germany, I am twenty something years old or as I repeat to myself every now and then “a quarter of a century wise”, and no, I am not trying to avoid the fact that I am getting old. Or maybe I’m just in denial, I'll leave that for you to decide. Somewhere below you can check out my face and how I’m struggling to put a hat on.

With that out of the way, let’s move on to important things. I am quite the romantic type of girl and I blame all the Disney movies that helped raising me, but this fact about me has a huge impact on my taste in books (and my completely useless knowledge of Disney songs by heart). Being the hopeless romantic I am, I basically live for the shipping. A part from that, I read pretty much any subgenre of Young Adult and New Adult: contemporary, fantasy, paranormal, re-tellings… I seriously don’t mind as long as something about it catches my eye.

The “favourite book” term is one that I don’t like, basically because I am helpless when it comes to important life choices, and having a favourite book seems like one. Instead, I can tell you two of the authors that no matter what it is they write, I will read and I will most certainly love: Colleen Hoover and Jennifer L. Armentrout. Please don’t ask me which of their books is my favourite or which one I would recommend in particular because I will start babbling about all of them and we will be here forever. Just go read them all. Seriously.

Some other books I have recently fall in love with are Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo, the Shades of Magic series by V.E. Schwab, A Court Of Mist And Fury or how Rhysand is a perfect creature by Sarah J. Maas or Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell. All of these have triggered huge fangirling episodes.

All the SoC fangirling being channeled

There’s not much more important stuff left about me, so we can jump now to my favourite stage of getting to know someone… random facts! There we go, some random truths about my endearing self:

  • I am a coffee person to the point that I am no person at all without coffee.
  • Before I discovered my bookworm-ness, I used to focus all my nerd energy in music. Therefore, I am quite the music nerd.
  • Unfortunately, I am allergic to cats… so bye bye Japanese cat-cafes (if you haven’t heard of them, google it right now).
  • I love karaoke, but I am an awful singer. As in, the worst singer ever. Don’t think this is me being all humble or anything like it, I have been asked to “please for the love of god, shut up” while singing. Yep.
  • Last but not least, I have succumbed to the bookstagram charm. Bookstagram is my latest obsession so if you have a thing for girly and fluffy book photos, you are officially my bookstasoulmate. (Yep I made that word up, so what?)
I say embrace the fluffiness

That’s pretty much it, guys. This is me. I am super excited to start this new blogging stage here in The Aus Library, and to share it with these 2 awesome bloggers, Meleika and Bayram, who I am a 100% looking forward to fangirl with. Be ready for the whole lot of awkward love is coming. That’s a promise.
